Driving Directions:
Beaver Island is Approximately 25 miles from Charlevoix. You can
reach the Island by Ferry (which allows family vehicles), airplane
or by boat. Lighthouse is on southern most point.

The Beaver Island (or Beaver Head) Lighthouse was established in 1858. The conical brick tower is attached to a keeper's dwelling. It was decommisioned in 1962, and is now open to the public. It is also used as an environmental education facility. You can access this lighthouse by taking the ferry to Beaver Island.
