Driving Directions: US-23 to Lakeshore Drive, then east on Point Road to Sturgeon Point Lighthouse at the tip of Sturgeon Point. |
The Sturgeon Point Lighthouse was established in 1870 and is still active, but may shortly be decomissioned. The conical brick tower stands 68 feet tall, and visitors are able to climb it. There is also a museum and gift shop on site.
